DPC-CSSP roundtable ‘Dayton, 20 years later – what now after the failed transition?’ in Berlin

DPC, in cooperation with the Christian Schwarz-Schilling Project (CSSP-Berlin Center for Integrative Mediation), organized a joint roundtable discussion on “Dayton, 20 years later – what now after the failed transition?” The gathering, held at Bundestag premises, featured former High Representative Christian Schwarz-Schilling, the German Foreign Office’s Special Envoy for Western Balkans and Turkey, Ernst Reichel, and DPC Senior Associate Bodo Weber.

The event was moderated by Tobias Pietz, acting head of research at the Berlin Center for International Peace Mission (ZIF). The first discussion focused on the failed transition from Dayton after 2005, while the second was devoted to identifying a forward-looking policy to move “beyond Dayton” and on reform conditions to be met in order to retire the Dayton instruments.
