EU Enlargement and Transatlantic Challenges

Senior Associate Kurt Bassuener participated as a commentator at Aspen Institute’s conference on “The Future Roles of NATO and the EU in Southeast Europe – EU Enlargement and Transatlantic Challenges,” held in Dürres, Albania.

The conference, attended by approximately 35 officials, academics, and policy experts, was co-hosted by the Albanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and co-sponsored by the Stability Pact for Southeastern Europe and the German Foreign Ministry. Bassuener spoke in the final session, addressing the topic “The Role of the EU in Advancing Regional Security in Southeast Europe.”
